About Rockin' TS Ranch

Breeding working dogs, loyal companions, and hardy myotonic goats with a commitment to health, temperament, and integrity.

Our Philosophy

At Rockin' TS Ranch, we believe in breeding animals that enhance lives and communities. Every puppy and goat we raise is treated as a family member first, an animal of quality second. We invest in health testing, proper nutrition, early socialization, and ongoing breeder support.

We refuse to cut corners. Our dogs undergo rigorous OFA testing, genetic panels, and temperament evaluation. Our goats are bred for hardiness, unique myotonia genetics, and gentle temperament. We breed for the long term—not for quick profit.

We stand behind every animal we produce. If a buyer's circumstances change, we take the animal back. We provide lifetime consultation on care, training, behavior, and health. We ask questions before sales to ensure the best match.

Health Testing & Genetics

What We Test

  • OFA Hip & Elbow Evaluations: All breeding dogs receive orthopedic assessments at 24 months to screen for dysplasia.
  • DNA Panels: Genetic testing for breed-specific conditions (MDR1 gene, collie eye anomaly, progressive retinal atrophy, etc.).
  • Eye Exams (CERF): Veterinary ophthalmologic exams to rule out inherited eye conditions.
  • Temperament Assessment: Breeders evaluate drive, trainability, sociability, and resilience.

We only breed animals that pass health testing with good or better results. This reduces the incidence of genetic diseases and sets our puppies and goats up for long, healthy lives. All health records are available to puppy buyers.

Farm-Raised & Socialized

Puppies and young animals are raised right here on the ranch, not in kennels. They grow up experiencing:

Varied Environments

Exposure to barns, fields, vehicles, and different terrain.

Gentle Handling

Consistent, positive human interaction from day one.

Natural Play

Sibling interaction and exploration of their world.

Variety of Sounds

Equipment, animals, and everyday ranch noise.

Myotonic Goats

Myotonic goats are unique livestock animals famous for their distinctive myotonia—a genetic trait that causes temporary muscle stiffness when startled. Often called "fainting goats," they're hardy, friendly, and excellent for small farms and hobby properties.

We breed for strong genetics, good temperament, and animal welfare. Our goats make excellent pets, herd animals, and show prospects. They're low-maintenance, adaptable to various climates, and form strong bonds with their humans.
